Create Web Pages via Point & Click

What's New In ClickStats Pro

In creating ClickStats Pro, we started from the ground up. This is a total rewrite of ClickStats that uses the new "Design" functions in FileMaker Pro 4.0 to document your files (INCLUDING related files) to a degree never before possible. ClickStats Pro is now completely cross-platform and will run on Windows 95, Windows NT and the Mac OS (with or without AppleScript installed).

In addition to being cross-platform, we've included some of the most-requested features from users of ClickStats 1.x and we've even included point-and-click creation of an entire web site complete with Add/Edit/Delete, Search and Hitlist pages.

Document Multiple "Sessions"

You can now document multiple "Sessions" of any file. That is to say, you can document your file(s) at multiple times during the development process and keep a "history" of development. All of the following attributes are documented:

  • Field Names
  • Field Calculations
    (Mac OS w/AppleScript only)
  • Layout Names
  • Script Names
  • Relationship Names
  • Value List Names
  • Which fields are used on which layouts
  • The value list assigned to each field on each layout (if any)
  • The number of layouts each field is used on
  • The number of values in each value list
  • The number of fields, layouts, scripts, and relationships in each "session"
  • Whether a field is used in a relationship
  • A list of relationships that a "key" field is used in
  • Physical screen location of all fields
  • And MORE!

You can compare two sessions of the same file (or different sessions of different files), and ClickStats Pro will create a detailed report that can be exported to HTML or printed or viewed on screen.

In addition, we've created two sets of layouts - one for people with traditional 14 inch monitors, and one for people with monitors 17 inches or larger. The 17 inch layout allows you to see all properties on a single screen, while the 14 inch version provides "auto switching" of the tabbed interface based on where you click on screen.

We included CONTROL-Click help for virtually every single object, list, button, and script in the system.

If you have ClarisImpact 2.0 (or higher), you can see a graphic representation of the relationships in the selected file.

Compare Any Two "Sessions"

You can compare two sessions of the same file (or different sessions of different files), and ClickStats Pro will create a detailed report (that can be exported to HTML or printed or viewed on screen) showing the similarities and differences in script names, field position and size (on a layout-by-layout basis), value list name and values, relationship properties, and field properties.

View Graphic Representation of Relationships

Using ClarisImpact 2.0 (or higher - on MacOS, Windows 95, or Windows NT) you can now view (and print) a graphic representation of your relationships in a selected file.

Create Web Pages Via Point and Click

Now you can easily create Add, Edit, Search and Hitlist HTML forms with a few mouse clicks! Simply choose a file, choose a layout, and choose which fields you want to appear on the form - then let ClickStats Pro do the rest.

Whether you're a novice at creating HTML, or a coding expert, creating HTML forms has never been easier. The advanced settings ("Show only eligible fields" and "Omit all global fields") help to prevent you from making a mistake by putting the wrong types of fields on a page. For example, you cannot have a calculation or summary field appear on an add page, but they can appear on a search page. ClickStats Pro has added "intelligence" built-in to help you avoid these time-consuming mistakes.

You can specify the actual database field name as the label on the form, or enter your own label. For those of you who are already familiar with HTML, you have to specify hidden fields as well as default values for those hidden fields. View Screenshot

Once you've specified the Add/Edit/Delete, Search and Hitlist pages, ClickStats Pro will then automatically create a new folder inside the "Web" folder (inside your FileMaker Pro 4.0 folder) for your new solution, and will even optionally preview the solution in your browser.
