    • 2000/ME: Double-click "Administrative Tools", and double click "Data Sources (ODBC)"
  • Click the "System DSN" tab, and click "Add"
  • Choose the "SQL Server" driver (if you don't see "SQL Server" in your list, contact your network administrator)

  • Click the "Finish" button (you're really not "done" yet!)
  • In the "Datasource Name" field type "ClickQuery" (no quotes)
  • Enter any description you would like
  • Click the checkbox for "Use Remote Connection", and enter the IP address of the Microsoft SQL Server you are going to connect to
  • Click the "OK" button (this time you ARE finished!)
  • Click the "Test Data Source" button to make sure you can actually connect to the database you've specified

Mac OS ODBC DRIVER NOTE: Depending on the third party ODBC driver you have installed, you may have more options than those listed here. You MUST purchase and install a third party ODBC driver for use with SQL Server. NO ODBC DRIVERS FOR EITHER PLATFORM ARE INCLUDED WITH ClickQuery. For more information on where to get a SQL Server driver that will work with Mac OS - please refer to the Microsoft web site (www.microsoft.com), the FileMaker Pro web site (www.filemaker.com) or the MacInTouch web site (www.macintouch.com/odbc.html).
